The base price includes a set number of Peppers, and additional Peppers are charged at a tiered rate. As your project grows, higher tiers offer better rates for high-volume usage.

At Peppermint Tools, we've named our compute units "Peppers" as a nod to the fascinating origin of the word "peppermint" itself. Just as peppermint got its name from the combination of "pepper" (referring to its sharp, pungent flavor reminiscent of black pepper) and "mint" (from its botanical family, Mentha), our platform combines the bold, impactful nature of peppers with the refreshing efficiency of mint.

They're the driving force behind our platform, just as the peppery aspect gives peppermint its distinctive kick. Pricing based on monthly active users

Our pricing model is based on Monthly Active Users (MAU), not total registered users. Here's what this means:

  • An active user is someone who performs at least one operation (read or write) in a given month.
  • You're only charged for users who actually use the platform, not for dormant accounts.
  • For example, if you have 1 million registered users but only 10 use the platform in a month, you're only billed for 10 MAU.

This approach ensures you're paying for actual usage, making our pricing fair and scalable for projects of all sizes.

How we calculate peppers

Our pricing is based on Peppers, which represent the computational resources used by your active users. Here's how we calculate the average 63,000 Peppers per active user per month:

  • Each writing operation costs 100 Peppers
  • Each reading operation costs 100 Peppers
  • On average, each active user performs 1 writing and 20 reading operations daily
  • Daily Pepper usage: (1 * 100 Peppers) + (20 * 100 Peppers) = 2,100 Peppers
  • Monthly Pepper usage: 2,100 Peppers * 30 days = 63,000 Peppers

This 63,000 Peppers per active user per month is an average. Actual usage may vary based on your specific application and user behavior.
